Carey HillCarey Hill, MA is President and owner of Carey Hill Consulting Inc., a Leadership, Management Consulting and Executive Coaching firm. Carey uniquely blends the business insight of a experienced Consultant and Executive Coach, with the Interpersonal acumen of a Licensed Professional Counselor. Since 1983, she has combined her unique skill set, her education, and her corporate experience to quickly understand the root of the issues involved both with people and the environment in every coaching, consulting, or training assignment she accepts.

Ms. Hill has the understanding of both an entrepreneur and a corporate “insider.” Before she founded her consulting, coaching, and counseling business in 1991, she worked within large organizations as an Employee Development Manager and Employee Relations Officer. She taught management training programs, provided internal management consulting/coaching, career counseling, and helped management and support staff through several mergers and other major corporate changes.

Carey’s 30-year career includes experience in CEO, executive and mid-level management and employee coaching; analysis of teams and team-building; the use of 360 evaluations and other assessments for succession planning, leadership development and career planning; organizational analysis and development; and meeting facilitation for strategic planning, visioning and goal-setting. She also conducts analysis and assessment of personnel and business problems for small to midsized companies, departments, offices, and individuals while working with management to determine solutions. Carey has designed coaching plans and worked with Senior Executives and Managers around the following issues:

She is certified to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and uses other assessments for developing leaders, communication and team building facilitation and for improving interpersonal relationships.

Following her completion of a BS in Human Sciences/Psychology, Ms. Hill obtained her Master of Science in Organizational/Leadership Development and Interpersonal Communication, both from Auburn University. While working toward her Master’s degree she taught Public Speaking courses at Auburn University for two years. After completing her degrees in 1984 she began her corporate experience with Rich’s Department Stores, First Georgia Bank and First Union National Bank of Atlanta, GA. Carey’s other unique work experience includes work in Washington, DC as a Senatorial Intern, as an assistant for the Presidential Inaugural Committee and she co-managed a US Congressional campaign.

In 1990 and 1991, after completing further post-graduate work in Counseling/Psychology at North Carolina State University, Carey became a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina.
